Traffic Restrictions in Europe: July 4–7, 2025 – What Carriers Need to Know

Between Friday, July 4 and Monday, July 7, 2025, most European countries will impose traffic restrictions on heavy goods vehicles. These apply to trucks over 7.5 tonnes, and in Austria and Switzerland, over 3.5 tonnes.


Friday, July 4, 2025

  • Czech Republic: 17:00–21:00

  • Poland: 18:00–22:00

  • Switzerland: 00:00–05:00 and 22:00–24:00


Saturday, July 5, 2025

Austria:

  • 07:00–15:00: A12 Intal, A13 Brenner, A14 Rheintal/Walgau, and A13 from the Italian border to Nößlach junction (towards Innsbruck)

  • 08:00–15:00: A4 from Schwechat to Nickelsdorf (both directions)

  • Regional roads:

    • Loferer Straße B178 (Lofer–Wörgl)

    • Ennstalstraße B320 (from km 4.5)

    • Seefelder Straße B177

    • Fernpassstraße B179 (Nassereith–Biberwier)
